Why Are PCA’s Prices So Much Lower?
PCA members receive lower prices because of their loyalty to the manufacturer’s vaccines as well as the volume of vaccines our group purchases.
How Much Do I Have To Purchase?
There is no minimum order required. All PCA members qualify for the low, on-invoice prices regardless of the size of individual orders or individual clinic purchasing volume.
How Do I Join?
Please call us at 801-369-3933 or email us at info@primarycarealliance.com. You can also fill out our request form.
There is no cost to join and there are no recurring fees.
How Long Does It Take To Sign Up?
It only takes a few minutes to sign up. Once you submit the participation agreement and registration form, PCA will submit your information to the different manufacturers. Most of the manufacturers can get your account linked within about a week. Merck is the only exception as it typically takes them 3-4 weeks to link new accounts. Someone from PCA will contact you to let you know when your accounts are linked so you can take advantage of PCA’s discounted pricing and start ordering vaccines.
What Is A Participation Agreement?
The participation agreement explains how the program works and gives you information PCA must provide based on the contracts we have signed with the different manufacturers. Each manufacturer has different requirements for participation, so each agreement is slightly different. There are also things we are required to disclose to you based on federal law. Additionally, it gives us permission to ask the manufacturer to link your account to PCA’s prices.
Do I Have To Sign A Long-term Contract?
No. PCA signs contracts with the manufacturers. Our members sign a participation agreement with PCA, not a contract. These participation agreements can be canceled at any time. In order to cancel your agreement please notify us in writing via email that you would like your account unlinked from PCA’s pricing and we will notify the manufacturers. It usually takes 2-3 business days to complete this process. However, once your account is linked to PCA, we do not think you will want to unlink it and go back to paying higher prices!
How Do I Order Vaccines Through PCA?
PCA members continue ordering vaccines directly from the manufacturers.
Please note: PCA members can purchase Merck and Dynavax vaccines on Sanofi Pasteur’s ordering website (VaccineShoppe.com) as well as directly through the manufacturers. However, PCA members will NOT qualify for PCA prices on Pfizer products if ordered through VaccineShoppe.com. Pfizer vaccines MUST be ordered directly through Pfizer in order to get PCA’s prices. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call or email us and we will be happy to help you.
Can I Choose Which Manufacturers’ Programs I Want To Participate In?
Yes. PCA currently offers vaccine purchasing programs through Sanofi Pasteur, Merck, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Seqirus and Dynavax. You can choose to participate in any or all of these depending on your needs. Most PCA members choose to participate in all of the programs since the vaccines available from these manufacturers allow them to offer the vaccines needed for infants, children, adolescents and adults. The only vaccine not available from these manufacturers is Shingrix which is a GSK product. However, most of our offices refer patients to the pharmacy for this vaccine.
What If I Don’t Use The Vaccines PCA Offers?
No problem! Just contact us and we can help you adjust your vaccine schedule to the vaccines PCA offers. It is not hard to do and we can assist with helping your staff adjust to the new schedule and make sure they understand how to make the needed changes. This way your office can start saving money right away!
How Can I Get Pricing Info?
You can contact us directly. Once we receive your request, we will discuss your current vaccine schedule with you and send you pricing information.
Are PCA Members Still Eligible For Special Promotions Or Other Manufacturer Discounts?
PCA members always receive our low prices as well as qualify for other promotional discounts that are offered periodically by the manufacturers. In addition, PCA members qualify for prompt-pay discounts offered by the manufacturers. PCA members participating in the Sanofi Pasteur program also qualify for the online ordering discount through VaccineShoppe.com.
How Much Does Shipping Cost?
Both Sanofi Pasteur and Merck currently offer free shipping on orders over a minimum amount (currently $600), whether a clinic is a PCA member or not.
What Is PCA’s Rebate Program?
Besides our low on-invoice prices, PCA offers additional savings to its members in the form of rebates.
Our operational funding comes from administrative fees we receive from the manufacturers. By keeping our overhead low, PCA returns the majority of these administrative fees to our members in the form of rebates. Rebates are paid quarterly or annually (depending on the manufacturer) and are calculated based on vaccine purchases and loyalty of our membership throughout the year.
