It’s time for clinics to prebook their COVID-19 vaccines for the 2026-2027 season. Primary Care Alliance contracts with Moderna, Pfizer, and Sanofi to offer our members the best possible prices on COVID-19 vaccines. This variety allows members to choose the vaccine products that best meet their patients’ needs.

What COVID-19 Vaccine Options Are Available Through PCA?

Moderna offers multiple COVID-19 vaccine options, including Spikevax in formulations for different age groups and mNEXSPIKE for older adults and individuals at increased risk for severe COVID-19. Pfizer offers its COVID-19 vaccine, Comirnaty, in age-specific dosages. Through Sanofi, members can prebook Nuvaxovid, Novavax’s COVID-19 vaccine and the only non-mRNA, recombinant protein-based COVID-19 vaccine currently available.

What Is the Current COVID-19 Vaccine Recommendation From the ACIP and CDC?

Although there has been much debate regarding vaccine recommendations this year, the most current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendation for the COVID-19 vaccine is from September 19, 2025. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a press release stating that the new recommendation was backed by both organizations, which “unanimously recommended that vaccination for COVID-19 be determined by individual decision-making.”

The recommendation of individual decision-making applies to all individuals six months and older. However, as with many recommendations, there is an emphasis that vaccination in individuals under age 65 is most favorable for those who are at an increased risk for severe COVID-19 and least favorable for individuals who are not at an increased risk, according to the CDC’s list of COVID-19 risk factors.
