Moderna offers three COVID-19 vaccines tailored to different age groups.

  • Spikevax pediatric dose (patients 6 months to 11 years old)
  • Spikevax (patients 12 years and older)
  • mNexSpike (patients 65 years and older, as well as patients 12 years and older with a high-risk condition)

Pfizer offers its COVID-19 vaccine, Comirnaty, in age-specific dosages. 

  • Comirnaty mRNA pediatric dose (patients 5 to 11 years old)
  • Comirnaty mRNA adult dose (patients 12 years and older)

Benefits of Prebooking Comirnaty

Discount: 2% early reservation discount off the contracted price until July 31, 2026.

Returns Benefit: 100% returns on pediatric doses, 30% returns on adult doses.

Shipping Priority: Reserved doses ship before in-season orders. If prebooked:

  • First 35% of doses ship within 3 weeks of FDA approval.
  • Next 40% of doses ship within 6 weeks of FDA approval.
  • Final 25% of doses ship within 8 weeks of FDA approval

Sanofi offers Novavax’s COVID-19 vaccine, Nuvaxovid. Nuvaxovid is the only non-mRNA recombinant protein-based COVID-19 vaccine available.

Nuvaxovid is approved for individuals 12 to 64 years who have at least one underlying condition that puts them at high risk, and all adults 65 years and older. Nuvaxovid doses come ready-to-use in pre-fill syringes and need to be stored in the refrigerator.

ACIP & CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Recommendations and Resources

Reminder: Although there has been much debate regarding vaccine recommendations this year, the most current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations from September 19, 2025, still stand. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a press release stating that the new recommendation was backed by both organizations, which “unanimously recommended that vaccination for COVID-19 be determined by individual decision-making.”

The recommendation of individual decision-making applies to all individuals six months and older. However, as with many recommendations, there is an emphasis on the “vaccination in individuals under age 65 is most favorable for those who are at an increased risk for severe COVID-19 and lowest for individuals who are not at an increased risk, according to the CDC list of COVID-19 risk factors.”
